Marianna Caverns

We took a trip to visit my Mom in Marianna, Fl. I spent Saturday being pampered at the salon; manicure, pedicure, facial and makeover. Roger, Brodie, Josh and Brooke spent the day touring the caverns. We all were exhausted by the end of the day.

First Day of Pre-K

Through teary eyes I managed to take a picture of Brodie's last first day at mother's day out. He is thrilled to be in pre-k and seems to enjoy learning as much as playing. Sadly, another step closer to kindergarten.

Alien Baby

Our little one was not cooperating at my 12 week check up and the doctor could not find the heartbeat. I currently have an anterior placenta and that makes it harder to hear the heartbeat and feel the baby move. So, for my piece of mind he sent me to get an ultrasound. Not only did we see the heart beating but also his/her sweet little face.

Beach Trip #2

Not only were we very fortunate to take two beach trips this summer. But we were also very lucky to be able to spend time with both of our families.

Finally!!!

We were soon to be at the crossroads of our long and emotional journey. Do we try a different route or do we call it quits? I eventually learned to let go of my control issues and became stress free. I gave it all to God, enjoyed wonderful massages and quit charting everything.
God's timing couldn't be more perfect!

On the night of Roger's 30th birthday I surprised him with a very special present... a positive pregnancy test. Many weeks later we ordered Brodie a "I'm going to be big brother" t-shirt. He was so excited that he wanted to go shopping for baby stuff right away. He proudly wore his shirt to give our families the exciting news.

4th of July

This year we celebrated Independence Day in Mobile. Emma and Brodie enjoyed swimming while we waited for the fireworks. We had a perfect seat on the pier to watch the longest firework show ever. The following day we attended a Bay Bears game. The highlight of the game was watching the kids run after the Taco Bell taco. Hilarious! Brodie totally stressed Emma out by saying he was going to catch that taco and eat it! Believe it or not he actually ran from one side of the field to the other without falling.

Beach Trip #1

Our first vacation of the summer was spent at the beach with Dad, Mandy and Emma. Josh and Brooke were able to come for one night, so it was a true family vacation. (I've got to remember to take pics of everyone.) We spent our days as usual- beach, pool, lunch, beach, pool, dinner. This year Roger and Dad competed (as usual) in their own golf tournament. Usually 1 day out of the week Brodie needs a break from the beach, so we went to the Wharf and played putt putt, rode the Ferris wheel and shopped. And of course they had to ride the go carts at the Track!
